Occupational Health
Psychological approaches to understanding, preventing, and resolving psychological issues within a work context can help you to keep your employees at work, and speed up their return if they are off sick.

Understanding the Problem
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in 2019 concluded that work-related stress is a major cause of occupational ill health, with over eleven million days at work lost per year. Employers have a legal duty to protect their employees from stress at work. The HSE are clear that this must be addressed through undertaking a Stress Risk Assessment and acting upon the findings. In 2018/19 stress, anxiety or depression accounted for 44% of all work-related ill health case, and 54% of all working days lot due to ill health(1).
